In those days,I know a witch who watched him on television and immediately said something was wrong with the man of God.
I looked at her too from head to toe and said to myself that even witches can spot something wrong when they're the problem of men of God themselves.
The city crusades of this man of God then was so much that it was enough to jealous him.
I wouldn't say I too believed him then. I didn't believe him too because I am mostly dominated by the study of Bible doctrines and living it rather to show of miracles without solid Bible knowledge.
Prophet Samson AYORINDE was so charismatic with miracles and selling of miracle items like handkerchief and the rest.
Even genuine believers too knew something was wrong then but we only criticised. We never genuinely intercede for him.
The man of God started to be known after his 40days fast when healings began to happen through him. He moved from Ilorin to Lagos. They were probably together he and baba OMOLEHIN.
He filled stadiums and open fields to the brim for Jesus.
But his church do borrowed loan from banks to foot bills just like many churches are doing now.
And when they couldn't pay on time they put pressure on the members by using gimmicks and wayo to collect money. They can even fake miracles so that people can give money and so they can pay back loans they collected from banks.
Pastor Samson AYORINDE took 30 million loan but couldn't pay back on time and the interest accrued overtime. The bank took him to court over it and the church members scattered. Church members probably felt the pressure of paying back the loan too(my guess).
He later paid but the ministry never remain thesame thereafter. He is still preaching and doing ministry but not at former level of fame,prominence and city wide crusades again.
In our intercessory prayer group,we remembered him and prayed for him too for 3 days. We pray that God's mercy be increased upon him and that he will end well in Jesus name.
Many of God's generals we don't hear much about again are not all evil. You may be suprised to know how much battles the enemy waged against God's plan for their lives and some fell along the way.
Prophet Samson AYORINDE is still active in the work of ministry and I believe he has a lot to teach younger generations on how not to move faster than God in anything you're doing.
We reached 900 days of intercession yesterday praying for others and not ourselves. About 40 of us gather every night to pray for wounded souls,lost souls,the sick,the needy,the soldiers of Christ and their ministries. And we remembered Prophet Samson AYORINDE too. If you can criticise people,please you will do well to intercede more than criticism. God is is need of men with genuine COMPASSION and not men who only specialise in CRITICISM. Yes we must say the truth but laced with grace.
Let him that thinks he is standing beware so lest he falls.
