Tithing is for our own good and not God's.
Tithing could be done as strictly led by God. The storehouse is the church, the church is not building but saints. Abraham paid to Melchisedech,a Saint higher in authority to him. Always pay to where divine utterances are issued upon you. Where intercessions are always made on your behalf.
Tithing is not an old testament thing, it predates old testament. The principle behind it is relationship with God and administrative care of God's people, not only His servants.
The storehouse in old testament was because then tithe wasn't monetised then,as farm products were supplied and must need to be stored. It doesn't mean an individual like Melchizedec can't recieve it.
Those who disobey Tithing doesn't have a relationship with God either or that they have decided to give all of themselves to God which is better than it.
There are better laws than the law of Tithing, but a Christian obeys all and neglect none.
If paying Tithe is all about material prosperity or non payment is about punishment from God then those who believed so have missed it.
God can't punish anyone who disobey paying, because in the first instance He will see them as not in relationship with Him. How can God punish someone that is not even qualified to pay it? I see no business with any who is not born again paying it.
That God blesses an unbeliever who pays it is what has put the church into many troubles we are having now. We take delight in collecting Tithe from unbelievers at the detriment of God's expectation and we thus lower the efficacy of God's word in our own mouth.
An unbeliever paying Tithe has simply come to steal from us. He will naturally become blessed but his soul will become lean in return. The system of payment has been bastardised.
Tithing is only meant for believers not unbelievers.
Tithing is not a business of give and get. It is only those who love God in a relationship that should do it.
If a believer notices the proceed is being mismanaged,God can direct a believer to pay where its going to be well managed. Especially to the work of soul winning and not to frivolous projects and programmes.
