A colleague of mine in secondary school days posted something in our alumni group.
What he posted describe different category of those who were troublesome, quiet and shy, front and back benchers, etc. while in secondary school.
I actually found myself in the category of those who were quiet and shy. I was actually a gentle boy ,and moderately intelligent. They called me ISO - PANCAKE as alias. I sold pancakes, chinchin, coconut in the class then. And I used to fart a lot.
But now, I was telling the poster that, that was then. That now if he isn't careful, I can put him for sell in the market
. I am not that shy, gentle man people used to know. Though, if you look from afar you may not know. I look straight at faces now and I am more of a choleric person rather than a phlegmatic person people of old time used to know.
For me I think, there are stages of discovery in life. And much more ,battles of life can change people
. I became tough, more friendly, more expressive and more complicated and simple at the same time.
Gradually I became more open hearted and can now identify with people more than before.
Yes, I still have my strong convictions about being upright and I have discovered that Jesus was a very simple man. He related so easily and balanced it by running away too when discernment called for it.
As a believer in Christ, never try to allow your temperament rule you. You must remain simple to people but complicated to devils.
Do not let devils be able to predict you in matters of spiritual warfare. But men must be able to predict that you're upright and not a pretender.
Do not allow what people call you to determine how you live, but what God calls you.
To people who pretend in their lifestyle, I will encourage you to actually show your real color on time so God and men can actually help you out. Because on the long run, everything you hide will be exposed.
Thank you for understanding.
Your brother,
Latunde Akin.
