CHURCH AND HYPOCRISY

CHURCH AND HYPOCRISY
(By Latunde Akin)
One thing I detest in church is hypocrisy.
A leader will see what's wrong and still close his mouth all because if he talks, money won't flow again.
You will see a wrong system of administration operating in a church and people will all keep following like goats. All because of fear of man and the benefits they are getting from such wrong system.
I happen to be a trained missionary and as I entered a particular ministry. The Lord opened my inner eye to see all the people surrounding the church leader. I saw head of goats, ram, snake and chicken on those people and I began to shake. These are pastors, ministers and workers, not just stark unbelievers.
The Lord began to tell me those people I see are hypocrites. They are double faced. They are not what people think they are. Yet they are the most serious set of church people.
The Lord simply told me, I should not follow any of those people. I should only look unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of my faith.
Then in my mind I began to question a lot of things. Why the Lord sent me there? What to do? And how to navigate things. Clearly I was told I couldn't do anything and I was just sent there to learn how not to create a system filled with hypocrisy around myself.
These days, it is very hard to meet people in church who are not predenders. If any don't want to pretend, the system their leader created will force them to pretend.
As a leader, you don't create fear of you to your followers or create a system which breeds fear in people. Yes,Jesus was a simple man of God and at the same time approachable. He related smoothly with his disciples to an extent an external person won't know their difference. He maintained an open style which even wicked people can't hide under except Judas,a son of perdition.
I have personally believed church is a place where pretence shouldn't be encouraged all in the name of practicing religion. Not that agents of darkness won't be found, but that the fire should be so enough to expose them rather to encouraging them to thrive through our corrupted style of administration.
To hell with your money, if it would make me to manage you as a pretender. It is far better to tell you the truth gracefully and let the fire of God deal with you than to keep quiet when I see something wrong.
To hell with every pretender in church if they refuse to repent now or show their true colours.
I don't know why many just like to pretend to be who they are not.
Well,I think that's a characteristic of the devil too. He appears as an angel of light to decieve many inorder to be able to wreck havoc so deeply without people knowing.
You will see that most church leaders in this country don't have any capacity again to correct government and political leaders. They have been silenced with billions. Mega projects are the focus ,not the people God sent them to anymore.
Missionaries under them are suffering while they are concerned with big donations from government leaders who in turn steal those monies. And the power in their words are of no more effect. Thus most members under them are becoming pretenders.
Yes there are still remnants who are never hypocrites. But they are hard to find or not obvious.
To me,I think God is rather waiting for those remnants to rise to the tasks ahead of them. And until a generation passes, may be their time will come to establish what no corrupt person can silence with money.
Much more God is expecting the church to also get involved in practical nation building and not just church services.
Religion is not actually a scam. It's the people that is scam.
I stand to be corrected.
May all hypocrites repent. Amen
