I once lived in a rented house where all things looked safe.
But under the surface,there was a very subtle spiritual battle.
How did I get the accommodation?
I relocated from Lagos to Ibadan about two decades ago and had to put up with a friend for a while as I was on the look out for my personal accommodation.
My fiancee travelled to visit me from Lagos so we can go together to Oyo town to greet her elder sister. On our way back, I suddenly told her she should let us drive into an estate to check by ourselves whether we can get a flat to rent. Since we have been fasting and praying together since 40 days. My faith was high at the time.
God did us good, as we drove into the Estate extension, I saw this inscription written on the wall
"Jesus is Lord". I was very happy and told my fiancee, this is the house we will rent. She marvelled at how I behaved as if I have been to the estate before. I responded no.
I parked the car,and entered the compound. It was exactly the moment someone was leaving the flat. A NEPA official who was posted to another state.
So he left, the official living room chairs,two bed in two rooms, and 6 faced gas and electric cooker in the kitchen. The house is a four bedroom flat.
I was so happy that I don't have to set up the flat immediately. It was a great relief for me. No repairs, no painting i just paid for the accommodation and entered with only my clothes and the car.
Few months after, I got wedded. Then the true colour of reality in the house began with me.

On my wedding day,I was called to resign my job and returned the official car.
Landlord that was always full of joy at seeing me began to bone face and looked unfriendly.
Landlord's daughter that would always cry to me to help her get connected to job stopped greeting me.
Children that i used to buy bread for were no where to be found again.
NEPA officials came and packed all their properties in the flat
Nobody inside the compound even ask about the car when they saw me trekking again.
I and my wife became shocked at the sudden change of things to us in the house.
Then I started out to look for another and was employed but I only spent just a day. I left because it was a biscuit company and I felt it's better to use that moment to begin my chinchin business,instead of laboriously wasting my time in such company. Much more it was so low compared to my former job.
A friend borrowed me 20 thousand naira, so i went to market to buy half bag of flour,bakingingredients, big frying pot etc. Then we used stove with kerosene. So i started chinchin business with 20,000 naira.
It was like hell was loosen after me. I determined i will work and pay the house rent for the four bedroom flat. Then it was 120,000 naira.
With 20k business start up, God helped me to gather the accomodation money in 3 months .Then on the day I was to pay the landlord, he collected the money on his sick bed. He died few days after.
Then i started to pray again to know why he died, God allowed me to know the problem was from his wife. Then I understood the house wasn't that clean. I began 150 days prayer vigil. God bought another two cars for me in the house but it got to a point God said to me that the solution is to leave that house. That was after I had spent another 3 years in the house, but with extra sleepless 1000 days of night prayers.
God helped me because I could pray,but it got to a point when prayer could no more work than to leave. At that time, we were really stucked again. About a million naira goods in the store didn't sell for many months. We couldn't eat food again in the house, boomed God told us to leave and go rent another house.
Immediately we left the house to another house, all the goods got sold out in two weeks! We were amazed and glorified God at the deliverance.
If you are passing through same ordeal or you got stucked in any situation. Simply understand how to change positions. Changing positions may mean changing locations or your behavioural patterns. Wisdom is key to any breakthrough than prayer. Unless God wants to train you in the school of prayer.
That you see religious people or houses where they write what they believe for people to see doesn't mean peace.
You just have to also know that God can lead you to any location so you can fight some battles there so God can use you to prove His power. And when the time to prove Himself is over,you must not remain in that environment but move !
